About Troop 204: Troop 204 is a scout-run and adult-guided troop. Our troop currently has approximately 50 registered Scouts and an equally impressive strength of adult volunteers and trained adult leaders serving on our committee and Scoutmaster corps. The scouts organize a variety of outdoor adventures, camping activities, skills training and rank advancement opportunities, and community service opportunities. We also attend camporees, and provide several options for summer and winter camps each year. Our camping trips include rock climbing trips, hiking trips, canoe and water trips, bicycling campouts and spelunking/cave touring trips to name a few. We have made numerous trips Philmont Scout Ranch, Florida Sea Base, and other high adventure opportunities. Mission: Adventure, learning, challenge, responsibility - the promise of scouting is all this and more. Troop 204's program will help your son on this adventure. Boy Scouts is founded on the belief that, during adolescence, a boy should undergo the personal growth necessary to move from dependence on his family towards increasing self-reliance and independence. Boy Scouts provides the opportunities to make responsible decisions under diverse circumstances, and to experience the consequences of his decisions. We feel privileged to play a part in helping influence some of these choices. Troop 204 uses the national BSA guidelines for every part of our program. These guidelines, thoroughly studied and developed by national BSA, have proven to be the best way for our troop.
